Indigenous Perspectives: Lost Language – Lost Culture

The Native American Languages Act was passed on October 30, 1990. Yet as we come upon thirty years of the enactment of this legislation, Indigenous languages are still being lost at a rapid rate. The loss of Native languages and its effect on tribal culture will be discussed in this session. Moderated by Nadine Groenig, Tribal Outreach Coordinator, Save Our Schools Arizona Network.
